Data Management for Decision Making (DM4DM) Data Management for Decision Making (DM4DM) gives you the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to work with Database Management Systems (DBMS) and Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Over the course of the semester, you'll learn to access and manipulate business data using SQL, build interactive dashboards with Power BI, and design databases using industry-standard commercial tools — with generative AI as a coding partner, helping you write and debug queries, explore unfamiliar features, and pick up new tools faster. Beyond the technical skills, we'll dig into the broader issues that shape how organizations manage data today: data quality, security, privacy, and digital innovation.
