Digital data are an asset: they have value. They are expensive to produce, store, and maintain. They can be bought or sold. They are so critical to deliver services and making decisions  that is hard to imagine how a Commerce graduate could start a successful career without a deep understanding of data technologies to improve business, or without mastering digital technology skills. Firms seek to hire individuals who know how to work with these technologies. Sometimes they look for individuals who can participate in their management, designing, and auditing.

COMM 3220 - Database Management Systems and Business Intelligence covers many of the foundational skills that are needed to to be successful in our technology-infused business world.
