Information technology is an essential ingredient for success in the fast-paced financial industry. Comm4230 gives you a competitive advantage in the job market by providing you with (1) hands-on experience with coding in VBA (Excel) and SQL to solve business problems, and (2) a deep understanding of the role of IT in financial domains. You will design and implement a robotrader capable of managing a $50 million portfolio of stocks and options and you will deploy it in the McIntire Hedge Tournament.
The Hedge Tournament is the centerpiece of the course, and a memorable experience for all participants.
